MARGARET ELIZABETH EGGERTSON
(nee BLAIR)
She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Shauna and Pamela (Kris) Mutcher; and two grandsons, Mason and Parker.
Margaret was born in Winnipeg on July 22, 1946 to Alfred and Letitia Blair. She was raised in East Kildonan with her two older brothers, Bill (Donna) and Charlie (Arlene). Margaret graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelors of Home Economics. She married her loving husband Grant Eggertson on May 22, 1971 (with whom she shared the same July 22 birthday). Through the years, Margaret enjoyed going on family road trips exploring Canada and the United States, fostering a sense of adventure and the outdoors in her daughters. She always made sure they found a Howard Johnson's Hotel to stay in, as their indoor-outdoor pools were a favourite. She was always supportive and involved in the girls' numerous activities. Margaret enjoyed spending weekends at Petersfield and Idle Wheels campgrounds with family and friends.
Margaret was an avid reader who would often finish a good book in one sitting and enjoyed many different crafting activities. Margaret and Grant had many beloved dogs over the years which were always an integral part of the family. When Grant became ill in his later years, Margaret took unfailing care of him until his passing last year. Margaret was a huge fan of her two grandchildren and loved attending their activities and spending time with them.
We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface and Victoria Hospitals for the care she received; throughout her hospitalization, she maintained a positive outlook and always had a smile or laugh for everyone.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's name may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada.

I remember Margaret when we were both involved in the Girl Guides of Canada. I remember her as a kind and vivacious woman with a great sense of humour. My sincerest condolences to the family! - Posted by: Maureen Jackson (Friend) on: Jul 06, 2019

Shauna and Pamela ("Carrots"), so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. I have very fond memories of Ken and I visiting your parents in Charleswood every Christmas day for over ten years. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Nancy Eller (Old friend) on: Jul 06, 2019
