1931 - 2019
He will be sadly missed by his surviving children, Vicki Tronrud, Debbie Small (Rick), Richard (Lorraine) and David (Virginia); his 11 grandchildren, Terry and Michael Tronrud (Wendy), Jeffrey Bobrowski (Jenna), Shannon Amos (Sean), Brad and Eric Small (Sarah), Nicole Hughes (Brent), Melissa Couper (Evan), Mathew (Morgan), Kayla (Logan) and Dylan Bobrowski (Paige); and great-grand-children, Devon and Teya, Tyson, Tristan and Andi Tronrud, Carly and Braden Amos, Jaxon and Sloan Bobrowski, Evan Small, Emma, Cale and Weston Hughes, Greyson Couper, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elsa, sisters and brothers-in-law, Verna and Bob Rodewald and Carole and Doug Yale, son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Deryl, Patty and Daniel Bobrowski, son-in-law Andy Tronrud, and our mother Joyce Bobrowski.
Dad was born in Peace River Country, Alberta. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Morris, Manitoba, where he attended school, played hockey and played trumpet with the marching band; and as an adult worked at his father's business Bobrowski Mfg.
In 1953 he married "the love of his life", Joyce (Thomson) and they started their family. In 1957 the family moved to Winnipeg as the company relocated as Imperial Steel Products Ltd. Silver Heights was where they first moved; when the family became larger a move was made to Charleswood in 1969. After they divorced Dad moved on and in 1990 he and Ivy moved to Pinawa Bay, MB where they resided until 2014, then on to Bird's Hill, MB. Dad recently lived in Winnipeg at Shaftsbury Retirement Community until his health required more care and in April 2019, he moved to Brightwater Senior Living, the Arbour unit.
White Lake has been a constant in the family since his teenage years, many family and friends enjoyed all the experiences that cottage life could offer. His huge heart and love for entertaining created many happy and crazy memories for all who knew him.
We would like to thank all the staff at Brightwater Senior Living, Home Instead and Shaftsbury Senior Residence for making Dad's journey a gentler one.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dad's life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.

JULY 7, 2019. Dear Family of Victor, Victor, and his late father Henry were wonderful friends. We developed this friendship originally with Henry and my late father Sam through our two businesses; Imperial Steel and |Lukes Machinery. Both Henry and Victor were excellent businessmen and real gentlemen. It was always a privilege and a pleasure to visit Imperial Steel. On behalf of myself and our Family we offer our condolences on the passing of Victor. Sincerely, Mel Lazareck - Posted by: Mel Lazareck (Business Friend) on: Jul 07, 2019

Vicky and family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. As a kid growing up beside your family, your Dad seemed larger than life to me. I think it was all those parties you guys held on your patio on Bruce Avenue. I remember listening to the music and laughing at night when I was in bed (my BR window was next to your house). I'm sure you all have lots of great memories as well. - Posted by: Dave Carpick (Neighbour) on: Jul 07, 2019
