David passed away on July 5, 2019, aged 71 years.
Cremation has taken place.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of David on Friday, July 5, 2019.
He leaves to mourn his wife Silvia Visintin, his brothers, Greg, Tim (Aimee), Robert and John (Donna), his sisters, Susan and Maryjane (Blake Lefort), his nephews, Derek, Landon and Taylor Kennedy, Reilly Lefort, Leo and Alexander Visintin, his nieces, Lindsay Sullivan (Joe), Haley Kennedy and Emma Visintin, his brother-in-law Bruno Visintin (Paulette), mother-in-law Laura Visintin and special friend Adam (Tara) as well as many cousins, extended family and very good friends in Winnipeg and Ottawa.
David was employed at Standard Aero until his retirement in 2010. He was a caring and supportive husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and son-in-law.
The family will receive condolences at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Rev. Father Sam Argenziano presiding. As per David's wishes, he will be cremated and his remains laid to rest at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of one's choice.

  • We are very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing and Silvia’s loss. Dave was a tremendous friend always fun to be with either at work (at StandardAero), sharing a dinner with Silvia and Dave or on the golf course. We shared life stories, had great laughs but more importantly became solid friends. Golfing with Dave was always a pleasure. He was always so enthusiastic and dedicated to what he did.   • As my fellow co-workers have stated, Dave was all those things and more. He was always up front and to the point. I remember a time when I requested something to be made and the time frame, he laughed that laugh and said," no chance" then laughed again, but it always got done.
