LARRY WAYNE ANDERSON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Anderson on July 7, 2019.
Larry is survived by his two daughters, Tabitha (Shane) and Shari (Joe) along with his grandchildren, Mateus and Alyssa, his mother, Helen, sisters, Sharon (John) and Joanne (Ken), brothers, Scott (Colleen) and Darren (Shari), along with many nieces and nephews and good buddies, James and Jim (aka Fred).
Larry was born in Goderich, Ontario on October 11, 1953 and moved as a child to Winnipeg in 1970. Larry married Judy in 1977 and together they raised their two beautiful daughters moving from Winnipeg, to Brandon and to Riding Mountain before finally returning to Winnipeg. He worked many years with MTS and then a secondary career with the school board where he met many new friends, including Lorna. Larry loved life - he enjoyed time in the great outdoors and liked to keep busy, tending garden, tinkering with cars or working on his computer. He was outgoing, friendly, and loved to be able to lend a helping hand. Although far too short, Larry lived a full life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
We wish to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital; they were a huge part of Larry's life for the last few months and made daily life a little bit easier for him.
There will be no formal service but rather a Celebration of Life with family and close friends at a later date.
If lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

  • Our condolences to Larry's family. Larry and I met at Tec Voc High School in the fall of 1970 when we both entered the grade 10 auto shops program. We became fast friends and enjoyed working on cars together. Later we enjoyed fast cars (on a budget), snowmobiling and camping. Larry was never without a job and was a hard worker. I'll always remember when we were out at his cabin near Stead, MB working together on something when he suddenly disappeared. When I found him he was sitting in front of the TV watching wrestling! He loved his pro wrestling. Recently he brought his '62 Mercury out to my garage and I helped him change the harmonic balancer on the old 352 CID engine. It brought back many memories of my '59 Ford sedan with the 352 I rebuilt while we were at Tec Voc. Rest in Peace Schmedley. Bill & Jill - Posted by: William Johnston (Friend) on: Jul 20, 2019

  • My condolences Larry was a great guy and funny..I worked with Larry at MTS in the cable pit, "Tushie" everyone had a nickname. He was like a older brother, teaching and always patient. He and his brother Scott introduced me to hunting at a co-workers farm down in Vita, MB. I still remember that first grouse. And the waist deep snow in deer season. RIP Larry Next time we hunt I will push bush. - Posted by: Craig Broughton (Co-worker) on: Jul 14, 2019
