BRYAN LYLE MULBERRY

Bryan Lyle Mulberry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 11, 1936, the second child of Vernon Barnett Mulberry and Signe Elizabeth "Betty" Grundström. Bryan's father was the son of Irish immigrants coming from Glendermott, Northern Ireland in 1882. His maternal grandparents immigrated from Grundsunda, Västernorrland, Lan in the Kingdom of Sweden in 1906. Bryan passed away May 4, 2019 at age 82 in Palm Springs, CA.
Bryan grew up on Elm Park Road - St. Vital, attended Windsor Grade School; Glenlawn Collegiate; later attended M.I.T. receiving his education in electronics, radio, audio and television. Bryan and his brother Lorne had paper routes with the Winnipeg Free Press, delivering Elm Park Road, Killarney and Rosewarne Avenue. He worked for Arbuthnot Sound in St. Vital doing dances; Kepron's, B&H repair station in Winnipeg, in electronic work; and Freeman Television repairing TVs.
Bryan Mulberry married Irene Margaret Schaff on June 16, 1962 in Winnipeg. In 1963, the couple moved to Southern California; his older brother Lorne Mulberry moved to Colorado earlier that year. Bryan went to work for Disneyland as a sound technician and a member of I.A.T.S.E. This was truly his dream job. He worked on 'Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln' (audio-animatronics); The Tiki Room; Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Matterhorn, and Electric Light Parade. Bryan worked for the Anaheim Convention Center as a sound specialist. A fond memory was working the Elvis Presley Concert. In 1984 he worked sound for the XXIII Olympiad in Los Angeles. In 2001 he worked on the creation of the Anaheim Resort. Bryan and his wife moved to Palm Desert, CA to retire, enjoying travel, cruises and his collection of E-scale trains in his backyard.
