ANTON (TONY) HYKAWY

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Dad, Gigi and Great-Gigi on July 4, 2019 at the age of 89 years old.
Dad was predeceased by the love of his life, Jennie (Jean) on May 30, 2019.
Lovingly remembered by his daughter Brenda, granddaughter Mandy (Evan), and great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Gabrielle, Nash and Presley.
Survived by brothers, John (Mary) and Ted (Eleanor) and sisters, Evelyn and Irene, sisters-in-law, Marge, Millie and Evelyn. Predeceased by his parents, Carrie and Nicholas and brother Maxie and brothers-in-law, Zennie, Stan, Peter and Stanley.
He was born in Fraserwood, Manitoba.
He was a man of few words but had a heart of gold. Dad loved to drive and his most memorable times were when he and Mom were on trips to visit family in BC, Alberta and Ontario. He enjoyed playing cards, pool and shuffleboard and watching baseball.
Thank you to everyone for your support, love and kind words through this very difficult time. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and aides at St. Boniface Hospital.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or Park Manor Care, 301 Redonda Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2C 1L7 to East Park Lodge in Tony's memory.
