CORY LEE JONES
May 22, 1969 - July 15, 2019

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that his family announces the passing of their husband and father.
Cory is survived by his wife Melanie; children, Hayden, Mackenzie and Cameron; his parents, John and Barb; his brother; three sisters; the Kasprick family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cory spent the majority of his life working in carpentry and enjoyed figuring out how stuff worked. He was a walking encyclopedia on so many things and even admitted he was a warehouse of useless knowledge.
Depression is an awful thing. Everyone is still in shock and wants to know why? The only person that could answer that was you and you felt the darkness was easier than the light.
Cory will be greatly missed by all that really knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Prosvita Hall, 777 Pritchard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Condolences to the Family. Corey, I'm so sad to hear of this, you were a great guy and it was my pleasure to know you and converse with you. Many years gone by and so many conversations on-line of our common interest made it feel that I knew you well. Meeting you in person a few times fortified that feeling. I know you'll be sadly missed. - Posted by: David Morris (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2019

  • Only knew Cory for a couple years but it hurts to lose such a kind, caring guy. My sincerest condolences to Melania, Mackenzie, Hyden and Cameron. - Posted by: Dennis Melnychuk (Friend) on: Jul 23, 2019

  • So sorry for your loss Barb. Sending you big hugs! - Posted by: Cheryl Yarish (Friend of his mom) on: Jul 21, 2019

  • I loved Core.....he was such a good guy. We were “close” friends and I’m really going to miss him. He loved his wife and kids more than life! He also loved his guns. Sometimes you never know what demons a person is fighting. I’m so sorry that you felt it would be easier this way. I wish you would’ve reached out to me Core! Now the only thing we can hope and pray is that you found the peace and solace you were looking for! RIP - Posted by: Cindy Desjarlais (Friend ) on: Jul 21, 2019
