Gordon was born on October 25, 1932 in Marquette, MB.
He was predeceased by his first wife Katherine; second wife Margaret; daughter Debra Bryan; parents, Bessie and Alfred Smith; siblings, Anne, Evelyn, Ethel, Thelma, Bessie, James and Ivy; his sister-in-law Lori Blight and father-in-law Frank Kostelniak.
Left to survive Gordon are his wife Elaine; daughter Judy Horvath; son Murray Smith; Wendy Kehler and Cary Smith (Judy); 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his half sister Dorothy Crosswell in Port Albeen, BC; his two stepsons, Paul Kondratuk (Liz) and grandson Spencer; Travis Kondratuk (Shawna) and his mother-in-law Oresta Kostelniak.
On July 1, 2019 he married Elaine. We loved to travel to Cuba and Mexico; Mazatlan being Gordon's favourite. He worked for 48 years at Ancast Industries Ltd. and two years at the CPR.
I would like to thank our neighbours, John and Ted for their help and always being there. Our friend Betty Dickey, if not for you I would be lost. Nephew Jordan Blight, thanks for all the help, Auntie loves you. Last, but not least, Judy Horvath, for driving her dad around.
In compliance with Gordon's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
