ORNE ROBERT (BOB) MCGIFFIN
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, sons: Kelly (Denise) and Kirk (Marion), daughters: Kerry (Dwayne) and Jo-Ann, stepdaughter: Sandra (Joe), stepson: Kevin (Mel), and one sister: Gay Luski, as well as 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as two sisters-in-law: Connie and Marie, and many friends.
Bob was predeceased by his mother, Hildeguard Mae "Jackie" McGiffin (Whiteway) and his father, Orbery Batoche "Mac" McGiffin, his brothers, Orbery and Orval, and sister, Joy Morgan-Smith.
Bob will be remembered for his love of all his family members, his love of telling stories, playing jokes or tricks on people, his "magic" tricks with children, his love of sports, music, dancing and in later years, travelling with Janet.
Cremation has taken place and at Bob's request there will be no service and a private celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Manitoba Lung Association.
