HUGH (EDDY) McDONALD
1930 - 2019
Left to cherish his memory are his
children, Catherine (John), Tamara (John) and Tracy (Dave), granddaughter Tami, great-granddaughter Makena and brother-in-law Ted Litwin.
Hugh was predeceased by his wife Vanda and granddaughter Jasmin.
Hugh was a great athlete, excelling at any sport, especially baseball and was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004. He was the best dad ever, always
looking out for his "girls". He will be best
remembered for his loving and
compassionate demeanor and witty sense of humour.
In compliance with Hugh's request, a
private family service will be held.
Although you will be sorrowfully missed, we rest in peace knowing you are now forever in His loving arms, and will remain in our hearts. Thank you for sharing your life and love with us.

Eddy was on of the finest ballplayers in Winnipeg in the 1950s. Playing on opposing teams on fields without fences our fielders couldn't play deep enough to contain Eddy's blasts. I had great respect for Eddy not only as a player but also on how he carried himself both on and off the field. My condolences to all of Eddy's family and friends. - Posted by: John Rendall (Fan) on: Aug 14, 2019

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to you all. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Hugh, but I have had the pleasure of knowing the kindness and caring of his daughter, Tamara. To parent a family that so well loves you and shows love, kindness, dedication and respect for others in all they do is one of life's greatest achievements. - Posted by: Barbara Weselak (Friend of Tamara) on: Aug 08, 2019
