GLORIA NEUBAUER
(SMITH)
December 5, 1937 - July 27, 2019

It is with deep sadness and wonderful memories that we announce the passing of Gloria on July 27, 2019, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Gloria will be deeply missed by her
children, Janice (Barry) Feere, Darren
(Carol) Neubauer, Brenda Neubauer, Kevin (Melanie) Neubauer, and Douglas (Teresa) Neubauer. Her grandchildren, Karey (Barry), Jennifer (Matt), Christal (Joel), Sarah (Chris), Jessica (Vedran), Katelyn (Elias), Chloe,
Vincent, Ryan (Taylor), Alyssa (Tristan) as well as her great-grandchildren, Jordan,
Samantha and Cayden, her sister Shirley (Clayton) Matthes, sister-in-law Belva and many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband
Erwin (Effie) Neubauer, mother Florida Smith, her brother Robert Smith and grandson Ben Sveinson.
Gloria was born and grew up on Weatherdon Avenue, Winnipeg, on December 5, 1937. She attended St. Ignatius School and St. Mary's Academy. She enjoyed sports and played baseball during her school years.
Gloria married Effie May 24, 1958 and
continued playing baseball, joining a Ladies Legion League in the early to mid-1960s and continued playing after having her first three children.
Spending time with her family was
important to Gloria and she cherished every moment with them. She attended baseball, soccer, hockey, ringette, lacrosse games and tournaments, band recitals and fire fighter picnics.
Religion was an essential part of Gloria's life. She enjoyed going out on retreats
planned through the church. Meeting weekly with the prayer groups.
The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Boniface
Palliative Care for the comfort and care
provided during her last days with us.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gerard Church, 45 Foster Ave. (between Talbot Ave. and Nairn Ave.) Luncheon will be served after the service across the street in the school hall. Private
family interment will take place at a later day.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to make a donation to the Firefighters Burn Fund or CancerCare Manitoba.

I met Gloria because of this and found her to be a loving and caring family minded person.
