PETER MARTIN HARRIS

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Harris on August 3, 2019, at the age of 47.
He is survived by his mother Rae of Winnipeg, his father Andrew (Lorna) of Brantford, ON, sister Christina (Grant Moore), nephew Alex, niece Annika, aunt Laura (Marshall) Bailey, many cousins, and his beloved dog Bijou.
Peter will be remembered for his charm and gentle humour, his passion for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and for engaging in lively political debates. He enjoyed his job in customer service at 24/7 InTouch until he left, regretfully, due to illness. He also enjoyed many supportive friendships throughout his life.
The family would like to thank the staff of HSC, especially the Sherbrook Dialysis Unit, for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Peter on Saturday, August 24, at 11:00 a.m. at IG Field - Enter Gate 1 (SW) near the Bomber Store.
Those wishing can make a donation in Peter's name to Diabetes Canada, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My condolences to all who knew Peter and had a relationship with him. It sounds like there’s so many people who loved and supported Peter throughout his journey. I had the pleasure of meeting Peter a number of years back then seeing him for the last time at our grandmother’s funeral back a few years ago. It’s unfortunate we did not see each other again and take that trip to Nashville we had talked about. Rest Peacefully Peter, you’re in a much better place free of pain. Until we meet again ~ Pam - Posted by: Pamela Pineau (Half sister) on: Aug 10, 2019
