WANDA KAZIMIROWICZ
Wanda is predeceased by her husband Leopold. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Chester, Regina and Elizabeth, grandchildren, Darla, Natalie, Lauren and Nick, great-granddaughter Eden, her sister Marilla and niece Lucyna (Zygmunt).
Mom was born in Slonsk, Poland, married our father Leopold, and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1959 with Chester and Regina.
Mom worked at Greb Shoes and was a member of the Catholic Women's League. She served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 246. When she wasn't tending her garden and flowers, she was cooking, sewing and pickling. Mom frequently volunteered at the legion and at the church making perogies and cabbage rolls. Mom loved going to the bush to pick mushrooms.
Thank you to all the caring people in her life, Dr. Biala, her good neighbours, Walter and Cecilia D., her home care workers and the wonderful staff at Donwood Manor.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9, at Holy Ghost Church, 347 Selkirk Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main St.
