Susan has been my neighbour for many years. Over time our brief garden chats led to fuller conversations, which in turn developed into a deeply cherished friendship. Susan is one of the most courageous women I have had the privilege to know. I have been deeply moved by her strength in the face of her own vulnerability; her unwavering principles and beliefs, yet complete openness to honest dialogue, expression, and willingness to explore her own mortality; her determination to set the terms by which she lived, and ultimately, by which she died. I shall miss her deeply: her wry sense of humour, her artistic spirit, and her wise soul. My condolences to her wonderful and caring family. It has been a joy to know each of you. - Posted by: Marni (Friend and neighbour) on: Aug 10, 2019
