He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Maria Do Rosario; sons, Antonio (Yana) and Edgar; daughter Julie (John) Mazsa; beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Brian, Peter and Elizabeth; and numerous other family members in both Canada and Portugal.
Joe came to Canada from Portugal in 1972 to start a new life. He always worked very hard to give his kids the best he could. He worked in construction, most recently for Nelson River and Bayview; he also worked for Bee-Clean.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street. The casket will be open for viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
