ROBERT (BOB) V. WENSEL
July 11, 1936 - August 6, 2019

Robert passed away at 11:04 p.m. with his son Jonathan holding his hand.
He is survived by Thara and son Jonathan. Predeceased by his father August Wensel of Calgary (Pipefitter); mother Betty Tracz (Wensel); older sister Florence Wallace of Montreal; brother-in-law Frank Wallace of Montreal and younger brother Larry Wensel. Robert's ancestors are Ukrainian, Polish, German and Austrian.
Robert loved to spend time with his brother Larry; Aunty Stella, Uncle Bill Hirchak and Patti (daughter); his friends Oscar Barland, Sam Brownstone, and Bob Melnyk; and Uncle Paul who had a caboose/cabin at Tall Timber Lodge in Lac Du Bonnet, MB.
Robert grew up in the North End of Winnipeg, Selkirk Street, Aberdeen, Machray and later Garden City. He began his career as a bartender at the Mount Royal Hotel in the early days, then working for Cotter Canada, Lloyds Electronics and starting his own company RVW Electronics. He was an avid bowler at the German Club and golfed. He was proud that a street, near Highway 59, was named after his uncle Wenzel.
Robert loved gambling, and travelling to Las Vegas and Hawaii.
As per Robert's wishes, he will be cremated and buried beside his mother Betty and grandparents Alexander and Katherine Lashuta at All Saints Cemetery.
