It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mischa Hans Rothoehler after a lengthy struggle with kidney disease.
Underneath his "grumpy" exterior was a reliable, generous, "sweet heart" full of wit and humour. Friends were honoured to have him in their lives.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 10:00 a.m. at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Making your final arrangments and wishes had to be one of the hardest tasks we've ever have had to do. But that's why you choose Rick & I. You knew we could. We miss you so very much each and everyday. We knew it was soon time to say goodbye. And you were strong sll the way till the end. The last thing you said to me was "thankyou for being so good to me." You are the one who should have been given thanx to. You inspired you entertained you taught everyone one who had the honor to know you. We will never forget you. I hope that your no longer in pain. And that your at peace. I cant wait to see you again. Please look out for us. You were my most favorite grumpy person ever. RIP Mischa your forever in our hearts. We will always love you. Love always your friends Rick & Jolene xoxo - Posted by: Jolene Woodcock (Executive of Estate & Friend till the end) on: Oct 16, 2019

  • Still completely shocked and devastatingly heartbroken. Mischa was a one-of-a-kind, unique “brother from another mother” due to the closeness of our birthdates and the fact that he was 1 of 3 boys and I am 1 of 3 girls. I will miss his intellectual perspectives, his in-depth knowledge on a variety of subjects, the discipline he possessed to learn and teach himself almost anything he put his mind to, his generosity and willingness to help others in need, his shy, quiet, unassuming demeanour, the strong presence he brought to every room he entered, the sheer brilliance he embodied and his quick, witty, on-point sense of humour that would leave me crying from laughter every time. He was a beautiful person, both inside and out, and I will miss him every day for as long as I live. Condolences to the Rothoehler family during this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I would like to end with a quote that resonated with me and I am sure it will with many others as well: "It has been said, 'Time heals all wounds'. I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone." -Rose Kennedy. You were loved, are loved and always will be loved and missed. Rest easy my friend.🌹❤️ - Posted by: Carol Skeete (Close Friend) on: Aug 15, 2019
