Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • This message is for Paul who wrote a condolence/memory just this past March 2024. So nice that you were thinking of Gerald almost 5 years since his passing. Nice to read your memory of my Gerald. Brought more tears to my eyes. I miss him terribly, do not know when accepting death becomes easier. Thank you Paul for writing. I do not know if I ever met you. You can call me if you like at 204-222-3137 it is a land line and a loud phone as well as I am hard of hearing. Thanks again for your kind words. • I lived with Gerald when I was in my teens, boy we had some times. He got me a job working at an auto shop with him on weekends and any day there was no school. What a great teacher he was. Patient, understanding and always with an explanation of why you do it the way you do it. I haven't seen him since about 2006, but think of him anytime I'm working on a car. Last summer I was swapping out intake manifold gaskets on my truck. As I torqued down the bolts with an old torque wrench he had given me I couldn't help but think he would be proud that I was able to do that because of the start he had given me. I'll always appreciate everything I learned from him. - Posted by: Paul (Friend and apprentice ) on: Mar 25, 2024

  • Gerald was such a good person.. no matter what he was going through he always was in good vibes, I knew him my whole life and am more than saddened to hear of his passing. I remember seeing him even just drive by and recognize me and stop to say hi and ask how I was doing, even years after last seeing him. He will be awfully missed by myself an a lot of other people whose lives he touched. May you rest in peace. Wish I could Have said goodbye, <3 - Posted by: Tianna (Close friend ) on: Sep 22, 2019
