KATHRYN DOROTHY (DYER) VASQUEZ

Kathryn Dorothy (Dyer) Vasquez passed away peacefully on August 14, 2019,  just two months before her 99th birthday. The above picture was taken on her 97th birthday.
She was born the youngest daughter of Annie and Joseph Bulachowski in Portage la Prairie, where in 1939 she married Donald Charles Dyer. She spent her early years in Portage la Prairie raising her two daughters. 
Kathryn was predeceased by her brother Mike, who died while serving in the Second World War; her brother William (Ella); sister Ruth (Ted) Beddington; sister Sophie; granddaughter Donna Lee Huber; and son-in-law Perry Lynn Allan. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Donna (Don) Huber and Patricia Allan; grandchildren, Jeff (Shannon) Huber, Scott Huber, Marlee Paterson (René), Tricia (Patrick) Nicks, Will (Marnie) Paterson; as well as six great-grandchildren, Courtney and Morgan Sales, Isaac, William, James and Adam Paterson; and nephew Gerald Bulachowski.
Kathryn was a very independent free spirit who travelled throughout the US, living for many years in Los Angeles before finally calling Winnipeg her home. 
Mother enjoyed playing bridge, visiting the casino and was a self-proclaimed news junkie.
