Greg was born in Winnipeg on September 9, 1947 to Fred and Helen (nee Chmara) Kudlak.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Angie and their son Brandon; brothers, Norm Kudlak and Gord Kudlak (Gerry); brothers-in-law, Werner Schwager (Elaine) and Bill Schwager (Audrey) along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Greg had a great sense of humour and loved photography, fishing, drawing, camping, playing cards and many other activities. He loved telling scary stories around the campfire to the young children in his life about Eddie, the silver bullet, etc. which they remember to this day. Greg loved all animals especially his current three cats - Reggie, Stevie and Auzzie.
The family would like to thank the countless people who cared for him at CancerCare Manitoba, palliative care program and the Riverview Health Centre also friends and family that came to visit him and contributed food, transportation and their never ending moral support and love.
As per Greg's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norwood Hotel.

My thoughts are with you Angie & Brandon. As cousins ( our Dads were brothers ) I mostly remember Greg from our childhood days, as I moved away in my early 20's. He had a great sense of humour & as a child loved to be a prankster. We Kudlaks are not a large family & now we have lost a good one. So sorry Angie. We met Greg and Angie in fall 2002. They, along with Susan and Ken, had joined the same Friday night bowling league we had. We hit it off right away, and soon were socializing with other good friends we met there. Greg had a love / hate relationship with bowling; he loved playing but was not happy when he had a bad game. As time passed, this group gathered for parties at Christmas, summertime and throughout the year, all the time growing with new friends from work and other places. Now there are about 20 wonderful people in our group, but sadly, we will miss one very important member, Greg. We all loved Greg. He was bright and funny, sometimes sarcastic, always witty. But he was always a good friend, genuinely kind and concerned with all of us. He showed his love for Angie and Brandon. We have all lost a dear friend and a very wonderful man. Rest in peace Greg. Angie and Brandon, you are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: David & Mary Anne Dirks (Friends) on: Sep 08, 2019

Dear Angie and Brandon , Our hearts broke into pieces when our dear friend Greg left us on August 11, 2019. It was a Sunday one of Greg's favorite days of the week. He would make plans on Sundays to spend quality time with his wife Angie and son Brandon. Another thing Greg loved to do with Ken and myself (Susan) is play cards or games. Playing cards and having a few drinks and snacks was one of our favorite things to do during the cold winter months. We would take turns either at Kudlak place or Barchuk place. In the years I knew Greg he was always funny and very lovable. The lovable part came out in different ways especially liked to tease or make fun. He was a loyal friend and you could always count on his friendship. He accepted his friends the way they were and did not want to change them. He was a great artist and he loved to do favors , he painted rainbows ,,sun, trees, and varies things on my son's bedroom wall when they were born, welcoming them into the world. We will all miss Greg 's story telling especially around campfire or birds hill . Our lives were blessed to know him and to love him. Angie and Brandon we will cherish our memories of Greg forever. Greg we loved you so much . He was one of a kind! Love the Barchuks - Posted by: Susan , Ken, Scott, Shane, Daniel , and Sydney dog (Family Friends ( nearly family )) on: Sep 05, 2019

We met Greg and his cohorts the "Summer of Love, 1967" and had many hilarious times before life took us all down our grown up paths. Over the years we would get together at socials, weddings, anniversaries and as we aged eventually funerals. Greg was always very funny and also a kind man who cared about his friends and family. It was great to see Angie and him at Christmas, and then again a few weeks ago at their home. He seemed glad we were all there together again, having a great meal (thanks for the ribs Brandon), sharing stories and laughs and making plans to do it again, but this is not meant to be. Deepest condolences to Angie, Brandon, Auzzie, Stevie, Reggie and his extended family. There may be an empty chair at the table, but he will remain in our thoughts, prayers and memories the great man he was. Hugs - Posted by: Heather McCheyne (Friend) on: Aug 17, 2019
