  • Joan and Family, we are very sorry for your loss. Love the picture included in the obituary. I can imagine Wes and Dad in heaven, fishing all day, and having a few drinks and sharing tales of the old days in the evening. - Posted by: Dave and Ann (Webb) Dixon (Friends) on: Aug 22, 2019

  • Our sincere sympathies go out to Ken, Barb and there family at this most difficult time. - Posted by: Gerry Fotty (Friend) on: Aug 22, 2019

  • Dear Joan and Family, it is with much sorrow I learned of Wes’ passing. It’s hard to lose a former well-liked fellow police officer, but harder to lose a friend. I first met Wes in 1963 when I joined the St. James Police Department. Unfortunately, I never worked with Wes as a regular partner, but I did get to work with him on many occasions. He was a very good police officer and a pleasure to work with. He had a great personality. Joan, I will always treasure the friendship Doris and I had with you and Wes throughout the years. We always had a great time together. I’ll always remember the little things Wes would do, just for a laugh, like drive the cruiser while on the railroad tracks. And I can’t forget some of the limericks he would recite, some of which I am unable to repeat here. Rest in peace Wes, you are much loved. - Posted by: Ernie Carlton (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • Dear Joan and family, We are so very sorry for your loss. We know what a close knit family you are and that he’ll be missed by all. For over 38 years we’ve watched him head out on the boat and come back with his “catch of the day”. We’ll miss seeing him at Booster but we will think of him whenever we head out onto the lake with fishing rods in our hands. Sincerely, Jim and Eileen Goertz - Posted by: Jim & Eileen Goertz (Neighbours at the lake) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • Our condolences to the family. Wes was a great family man, always there for his family, full of fun and ready to break out in song and verse. He will be missed by all. - Posted by: Richard and Linda Cyca (Friends ) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • Dear Joan and Families: we are so very sorry to hear of Wes' passing. Glad though, I was able to visit you, Joan and Wes, last August. Hadn't seen you both for so long. Dave and I always enjoyed Wes' sense of humour and mischievous nature. :) Wes will be greatly missed by all. May he Rest In Peace. Our sympathies.
