MARILYNN LOUISE DESSUREAULT
(née LANGTON)
Marilynn was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Agnes; sister Linda; brother Don; and nephew Robert. She is survived by three daughters, Jodi, Karen and Mandi (Jeff); as well as 10 beautiful grandchildren, Sachelle, Corbin, Maslen, Kiara, Janessa, Tamsyn, Jaden, Noah, Nathaniel and Nolan.
Marilynn was born June 28, 1940 in Winnipeg. Her early years were spent growing up in St. James. She married Camille in 1960 and took on the role of military wife. With this came several moves across the country. She took great pride in raising her three girls and made amazing cookies!
After her divorce Marilynn worked in the social services field particularly with the Family Centre. It was often challenging work but it was important for her to help other families.
Her last several years were spent battling dementia and other health issues. Slowly we lost the Marilynn that we loved to this horrible disease. Her oldest daughter Jodi took on the role of her caretaker and advocate. Thank you for the care you gave her.
Thank you to Lions Manor Personal Care Home for the compassionate care. Thank you also to River Ridge II Transitional Care for three months of supported independence. Also thank you to Roswitha for her kindness and regular visits with Marilynn.
"It's OK Mommy. You raised three strong daughters. We hope you have gone home to your beloved Daddy and found peace. No more tears. We love you."
Cremation has taken place. Upon request of the family there will be no service at this time.

Marilynn was a beautiful person inside and out. I met her when she was working for the Family Centre and helped our family. We had twin girls and a son that were 19 months and younger when Marilynn helped us. She was a lovely person and treated us like her own family. Our condolences and prayers to her family. Marilynn you will be missed. - Posted by: Linette Scarlett (Friend) on: Aug 25, 2019
