Ruth was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, March 31, 1928. She first lived in Deerhorn on her parents' farm. Following Normal School, she taught at Swan Creek and Eastland schools. During her marriage to Thomas Clarke, she farmed in Eriksdale, until Tom's untimely death. At that time, Ruth had the courage to move, with her children and start a new life in Winnipeg, where she studied to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
During her nursing career and retirement, she and husband, Bud Jeffers, resided in Selkirk, where they enjoyed many happy times during backyard BBQs, camping trips, and holidaying with grandchildren, relatives and friends. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and other relatives and friends will miss her.
She was a remarkable woman who lived a remarkable life, who had an exceptional sense of humour and passion for family, and friends. During the past two years, this was evident with the staff and residents of St. Benedict's Place and Tudor House.
At Ruth's request there will be no formal service. A family gathering will be held at Eriksdale Cemetery, her final resting place.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)
To all the Clark family, my deepest condolences to you all. Ruth was such a lovely woman, she was (and the family) a huge part of our life while growing up on the farm in Eriksdale. Many family get togethers on the farm and the at Lundar Beach are fond memories of fun and laughter for me. She was a very dear friend to my mom and dad and I thank you for that Ruth. Bless her heart, what a great soul. Hugs to you all Leona, Lorne and Brad and your families. Love Holly - Posted by: Holly Sigurdson (Family friend) on: Oct 13, 2019

Ruth was a person once you met, you loved her. She was a friend and "aunt" to many who were not really related. I was fortunate enough to be a "niece" by marriage, she was our neighbor, our bonfire buddy. We shared many meals, and many cocktails together. Ruth had an amazing sense of humor and loved everyone, and had an endless number of friends who also loved her. She was truly one of a kind and touched many lives. She will be missed but never forgotten. Darren & Suzanne Feyereisen - Posted by: Suzanne Feyereisen (friend, niece by marriage) on: Aug 24, 2019
