WALTER LASCHUK
He leaves to mourn in his passing his beloved wife Betty. His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his sister and a lifetime of friends and extended family.
Walter was at first appearances a quiet man. Most remember his love of dancing with Betty at many events. They made numerous memories together in their bowling league, where he bowled a perfect game. He was a boilermaker with CN where he loved to show the new apprentices the tricks of the trade.
Walter could fix or make anything you needed. The strongest trailer hitch... the best wood stoves and the coolest campfire necessities.
It was known that if he made you something and it didn't fit... you measured it wrong.
Betty and Walter camped every summer for the last 42 years with their dear friends.
Walter never attended an event without bringing along a little something to the party and his ginger ale.
Walter kept his opinions to himself and was always quick to help anyone who asked and even some who didn't.
He was always there. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He leaves us with great sadness for now, but we know that it will be replaced by great stories told of times he made better by his unfailing presence. We know he's fishing again with Donnie, Rick and Allan, and they're catching the "big ones".
Always loved.
Forever missed.
Lovingly remembered.

I worked with Walter as an apprentice and he was the nicest guy with not a mean bone in his body. I remember him fondly. - Posted by: Derek (Dick)Bakker (Co worker) on: Sep 07, 2019
