Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Mrs Stevens (Marion) was a gem. She was my kindergardern/ grade 1. In those days their wasn’t no such thing as kindergarten only grade 1. So in the country at age of 5 off I went with her son Victor 6 and my cousin Florence 5to our little school house named Sand Hill School which had approximately 18 kids from Grade’s 1 - 8. Our school was located approximately 7 miles North/West of Beausejour, Mb. As s child I remember so many things about her. We all loved Marion for she was kind, loving and truly so down to earth person. She sat with us when we where sad or sick, she thought us in a way that we would understand. Her Gift to all the kids was she so precious and she loved us all equally. Over the years I was lucky to be reunite with the Stevens family, My husband’s father worked with Marion’s husband John so after almost 20 years later we where reunited. Marion I will never forget you . My thoughts and 🙏🏻prayers are with your family at this very difficult time. Marion you are the most luckiest individual in the whole wide world, as your True Love John will be waiting for you with at the hold gate with a great big 💐😧Boutique of Flowers 💐like he did for you every week until his passing. God Bless you Rest In Peace Marion 💕 - Posted by: Sandy Sawchuk (nee - Pleskacz) (She was my Grade 1 teacher) on: Sep 09, 2019

  • I had the pleasure of teaching with Marion at Tyndall Park School. I taught Kindergarten and Marion taught Pre-primary, then Grade one. So we were always talking! Marion was kind and patient. She is a person I have always remembered through my teaching career. Marion was the kind of teacher we all strived to be. My condolences to her family.
