CECILIA MARIE MAJDELL
(DAGDICK)
"A Life Well Lived"
As a young girl, Cecilia attended the Immaculate Conception School, Aberdeen Junior High School and St. John's High School.
Cecilia was very proud of her heritage and her community. Cecilia was one of the founding members of the Canadian Lebanese Women's Auxiliary where she served a treasurer. When Cecilia's boys were young, she spent numerous hours volunteering at Norquay School where she chaired the opening of the new school and helped open the school library.
Cecilia was also the Secretary of the North Point Douglas Neighbourhood Improvement Program (1975 to 1977) and received a community service award in 1977 from the late Mayor Robert Stein.
Cecilia loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Travel was often to visit her three sons across the country and to various destinations with senior's groups. Cecilia loved meeting new people wherever she went and brought joy to many.
She was an avid bowler and as a senior spent Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Rossmere Bowling Lanes in various leagues and volunteered as treasurer and secretary.
Cecilia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robert (Lori), Arnold (Pam) and Darrell (Bernadette), and her grandchildren, Taylor, Kendal, Brodie, Lucas, Amelia and Benjamin. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who she spent time with at many wonderful family events.
Cecilia was predeceased by her father and mother, George and Nazera Dagdick, nine brothers, eight sisters, and her husband George Majdell.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Cecilia's life will be held on Friday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 341 Munroe Avenue. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. A private family burial will occur at St. Mary's Cemetery where Mom will be buried alongside her parents.

Arnie, Rob, Darrell and families: Your mother was always kind and generous to all she met. The door to 129 Disraeli Street was always open. She cared deeply not only for her family but also to the those of us that were friends. Growing up in Point Douglas would not have been as good as it was without Mrs. M watching out for all of us. Rest In Peace Mrs. M (CeCe) a life well lived! May her memory be eternal. - Posted by: Doug & Cona (Family Friend) on: Sep 06, 2019

Dearest Robert, Arnold, Darrell and Families, my deepest heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beautiful mother, Cecilia. It is difficult to say our last goodbyes and that final hug to our loved ones. I wish you all strength and peace during this difficult journey. Mrs Majdell and my mom (Violet) shared many stories together and how all of you were part of mine and Bobby’s (whom I lost in Oct 2012) childhood growing up in the North End attending Norquay school, playing baseball in Banana Park (as it was known back than) or hanging out at the local community center. Your Mom did such amazing job raising 3 outstanding Men! Hugs Donna xo! - Posted by: Danuta Strebly (Donna Strazewski) (Childhood friend ) on: Sep 06, 2019

Mrs. M was always fiercely proud of her family and those that surrounded them as they traveled through life. She was a true angel and chronicle, should one be lucky enough to meet her out and about she could and would bring you up to date. You would surely be regaled as to where people were, how they and their families were doing. It was always a pleasant grounding. To her family my heart is with you at this time....... - Posted by: Dale Johnston (One of the neighbourhood boys) on: Sep 05, 2019
