Condolences & Memories (6 entries)
I lived up the street from Ken on Walker Ave.. Numerous hours were spent playing ball hockey, golf, pick up football, table top hockey and anything else sports related. Many years went by without seeing Ken until a social event at Grand Beach. It was great seeing him again and it was like no time had passed by. He will be missed. - Posted by: Dave Silver (Old friend) on: Oct 06, 2019
It’s always tough to lose a friend but this one is particularly hard (way too young and such a great guy). I’ve known Kensbear for somewhere around 50 years; originally he was just Rick’s kid brother but as he got a bit older Kenny became a spongee/hockey teammate and friend. Over the many years of playing with or against him I don’t recall a time when Kenny wasn’t giggling, laughing or joking. Over beers after summer hockey we often talked about fishing but sadly we’ll never get a chance to share a boat. My condolences to Rick and family and all Ken’s other loved ones and friends. You’ll be missed Kensbear. - Posted by: Lindsay Kolt (Friend) on: Sep 29, 2019
I first met Ken when we were around 11 & he moved to Walker Ave, 3 houses from me. We became fast friends immediately & there were few days between then & high school graduation when we didn’t walk to and from school together. In between were countless ball hockey and tackle football games; countless Sabres vs Habs and Perrault vs Lafleur discussions. And countless laughs. Ken was funny, caring, an outstanding athlete and so much more. RIP Ken - Posted by: Dwayne Reiser (Friend) on: Sep 07, 2019
