Donna was born in Carman, Manitoba December 19, 1949, and after a lengthy illness passed on September 3, 2019 at the Grace Hospice. She was raised in Mather, Manitoba and she loved farm work and excelled in 4-H Beef.
As a mature student, she got her education degree and taught at various locations in Northern Manitoba. She was proud to have achieved her long term dream of being a teacher. She enjoyed her northern community and saw them as her family. Fishing with her husband Brian was an event they both enjoyed.
She is survived by her son Dean (Autumn) and five grandchildren. She also is survived by her four sisters and one brother.
Donna was predeceased by her mom, dad, brother, one son Larry, and husband Brian.
We wish to acknowledge the amazing care Donna received at Grace Hospice. Extra special thanks to a few of Donna's friends who were constant, caring companions, Sherry, Brenda, Debbie and Suzanne. Not everyone has such good friends! Donna was appreciative and thankful for their enduring support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada at 401-1 Wesley Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
Cremation services provided by Bardal Funeral Home.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I met Donna through Brian, we immediately liked each other. Brian, Donna and I spent many hours at my home chatting over coffee/water for Donna. We always had good laughs. I did not see much of Donna when she started working up North but we talked on the telephone a lot. We visited up until she could not drive any longer, I have physical disabilities now and do not drive any more. We did still talked on the phone. I did get a chance to visit once at the hospice I wished I could have come more. I thought about her everyday and I will miss her very much. Hopefully I can attend the Celebration of Life. My sympathies to her family and other friends. - Posted by: Joy Brissette (Friend) on: Sep 08, 2019
