ARCHIE STONE
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley; his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Reena, Barry and Erin; his adored grandchildren, Alden and Jessica; and his sister Judy Katzin.
Archie was born in Unity, Saskatchewan and attended the University of Alberta where he received his Bachelor of Music degree. He was a music teacher and the director of many choirs in Winnipeg. His love and appreciation of music and inspiring others to do the same was his life's work and that defined him.
He was a kind, gentle and supportive person. His many passions included photography, playing bridge, sports and politics.
He will be dearly missed by his entire family and all the people he touched on his life's journey.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Simkin Centre for their care and devotion. During the last two years Archie developed a special relationship with his primary caregiver, Rigor Vinan, who treated him with respect, dignity and compassion.
Donations may be made in Archie's memory to Parkinson Society Manitoba, 414 Westmount Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2.
