January 30, 1947 - August 29, 2019
Marge was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Annie Denis. She left a legacy of family who miss her dearly including daughters, Anita Skinner (George), Chandra (Dave) Prud'homme and Tracy Todd (Michael); grandchildren, Adam Greene, Megan (Bobby) Dickinson, Joshua Todd and Noah Todd; great-grandchildren, Melissa Prud'homme and Joel, Emma and Elias Dickinson, brother Mike (Pat) Denis, sister Helen (Bob) Dahl, and brothers-in-law, Dan (Elaine) Sandy and Joe (Karn) Sandy, and nieces and nephews. We miss her quick smile and genuine interest in our lives.
Marge was born and raised in Cook's Creek and in her later years moved to West St. Paul. She worked in the food industry before retiring. She will be forever remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, friend and neighbour. She enjoyed her crafts, gardening, baking, cooking Ukrainian favourite foods for the holidays, canning her garden's bounty in the fall, reading novels and doing the New York crossword puzzles. Her tender care during Walter's prolonged illness is legendary.
She could be stubborn, impatient and fiercely independent when she needed to be. We marvelled as she became a construction manager for numerous household improvement projects. Her faithful dog companion, Mia, protected her to the end and helped ease her loneliness these past few years.
In accordance with Marge's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held.
The family asks that you honour her memory with an act of kindness to a neighbour, a family member or a donation to an animal rescue.
Marge and Walter were inseparable in life and it consoles us to know they are together again.
