INEZ DUGUAY (ALLARD)
Born: Apr 15, 1932
Date of Passing: Aug 27, 2019Offer Condolences or Memory
April 15, 1932 - August 27, 2019
Mom's passing is sad, however, we have grieved her loss for many years as her struggle with dementia took her mind and abilities away from us far too early. Despite this, Mom's passing is no less painful.
Inez leaves to mourn her children, Louis and Lynne (Mike); grandchildren, Shaun (Melissa), James, Dustin (Victoria), Aamon, Samantha and Connor; great-grandchildren Ilsa, Mason and Maryanne; and many family members close to her. She is also survived by her brother Martial (Michelle) of Ottawa.
She was predeceased by her husband Simon (Sam) of 56 years; and her eldest son Marc who passed away nine months ago. She was also predeceased by her siblings Aimé, Adrien, Madeleine, Delphine (Soeur Julienne), Doric (Red) and Freda.
Inez was born in the small town of Mariapolis, MB. She was a student at Bruxelles Convent. She later moved to Winnipeg and became a teacher working in small towns and in Winnipeg. She loved to play baseball on various teams, most times with her sister Freda. She spent most of her life as a loving wife and mother, tirelessly supporting the family food business and various charitable/social groups. Inez loved playing piano, especially at family gatherings and réveillons - always playing the piano by ear and belting out many songs. She loved her home on DesMeurons. Inez and Sam always had an open door at their home and enjoyed hosting treasured friends and family whether playing cards or hanging out by their pool. Inez loved to sew and knit - making sweaters and afghans for many. Ta vie était belle. Inez lived a full life with the friends and family to share it with her.
A special thank you to the staff at Actionmarguerite for the care they provided.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on September 20, 2019, at Eglise Précieux-Sang, 200 Kenny Street, Winnipeg, MB, with Father Armand Le Gal, O.M.I., presiding.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
