ANDRE JOSEPH FINDISH
July 5, 1975 - September 5, 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, friend to many, including the mother of his only child, and his dog and best bud. He has sadly passed before his time, much too young.
André developed a love of music at a very early age, learning to play guitar before he was 10. He went on to play in bands before audiences and surrounded himself with music, working for many years at St. John's Music.
The only thing André liked more than music was flying, and he took flying lessons while still in school, and was proud of having learned to take off and land smoothly in a single-engine plane.
André Joseph Findish leaves behind his loving mother Lucille, his younger sister Danielle, his only daughter Britney (Wojcikowski, mother Cara), his dog Odie, his tante Simone Katsabanis (Sam), cousins, James and Peter (Monica), his tante Florence Chaput, cousins, Daniel (Emma) and Robert (Pam), his tante Lilliane Fiola, cousins, Sarah Hughes (Jeremy), Janelle Curry, and his cousin Charlie (Kim).
André worked at Calm Air as a flight
attendant, and leaves behind his coworkers and musician friends and community. He was a gentle old soul, and a devoted father to his beautiful daughter.
We invite friends and family to attend a celebration of André's life on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg.
André, ta douceur et ta gentillesse nous manquent beaucoup.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My deepest sympathy to you Lucille , Danielle and family and friends ... I enjoyed having Andre coming over to my house with all the other young musicians ... a good young lad at the time .......then I was blessed to be sold a very good guitar by Andre at St John’s Music Store ... we also had a beautiful visit together .... May our Good Lord Surround you with his angels and comfort you in this sad time ... Peace and Prayers to you Lucille... - Posted by: Lucille Curtaz Fiola (Joseph’s Mom) on: Sep 18, 2019

- Posted by: Diane Fontaine (Collègue dans l’enseignement) on: Sep 18, 2019

  • It is indeed with great sadness that I offer my deepest condolences to Andre's family. I was lucky to have him as a co-worker & fellow flight attendant. Andre was always so professional, yet soft & sweet. I will definitely miss his presence at work. My prayer is that God will hold him close, while comforting those who are finding it difficult (as I am). May his sweet soul rest in peace. - Posted by: Kris Young Tenn (Co-worker) on: Sep 14, 2019

  • Always a pleasure to work with, will be sorely missed. - Posted by: James Caine (fellow worker) on: Sep 14, 2019
