1919 - 2019

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother on September 8, 2019 at the age of 100 years.
She will be deeply missed by her brother Ed Rutherford, children, Ken (Lesley), Patty Alfonso and Clare Harris (Lyle), her grandchildren, Cassidy Papaioannou (Bill), Ginny Rarog (Mitch), Jared Powell (Brenda), Lincoln Powell (Phalyn), Hayley Mitchell (Kevin) and Arden Alfonso, and her great-grandchildren, Courtney Papaioannou, Bailey Papaioannou, Sidney Rarog, Griff Rarog, Benny Powell, Nixon Powell and Georgia Mitchell.
She was predeceased by her husband Wallace Powell, son Wallace Powell Jr., and grandson Kenny Powell, as well as her brothers, Bob Rutherford and Bill Rutherford, and sister Doris Roberts.
A funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be all her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
