LEOPOLDINO (LEO) J.P. ASSIS, M.D.

On August 7, with his wife Sharon (nee Bucholz) beside him, after a long series of illnesses, Leo passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Leo will be kept alive in the hearts and minds of all his family especially his wife Sharon; mother Valentina; brother Dagoberto (Doug); and sister Maria Eugenia. Leo was predeceased by his father Jose de Paula Assis and his brother Gilberto.
Leo took pride in his career as a radiologist which began in 1974, becoming a neuroradiologist in 1979, until his retirement in 2009. His professional journey took him through Sao Paulo, New York, Winnipeg, Kingston and London.
A Celebration of Life for Leo will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grosvenor Lodge in London, ON.
