He was predeceased by his father Joseph Eric Warren, his mother Sarah Martha (Eadie) Warren, sister-in-law Terrell Warren, and brother-in-law and best friend Don Smith.
Miles was born in Winnipeg on June 5, 1940. He grew up on Garfield Street. After graduating, he worked for CNR in the Upholstery Shop in Transcona for two years and then at CBC in the Accounting Department for 35 years. He took early retirement in 1993.
He married the love of his life, Eileen Smith on August 19, 1961. Miles loved his dogs, four of who predeceased him and Misty, who is loving companion and comfort to Eileen. Miles loved to drive and was always happy behind the wheel! We travelled all over Canada and the U.S.A. We bought our first trailer in 1995. We loved travelling with our RV and spent 14 winters in the south. We made so many good friends during our winters in Florida, Palm Springs and 11 in Rockport, Texas.
In 2014 Miles was diagnosed with Alzheimer's which progressed very quickly. In February 2018, he entered Rosewood Village Assisted Living. In July he was sent to Grace Hospital and in mid-November 2018, he entered Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home, where he passed away. A special thanks to the caring staff at Heritage Lodge.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at the Sunova Auditorium at Quarry Park, 166 Main Street, Stonewall, MB on September 29 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, the Canadian Celiac Association Manitoba Chapter, 204-825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or a charity of your choice.
