TERRI LEE DOWHY
June 11, 1967 - September 5, 2019
She will be sadly missed by her husband William Dowhy; daughter Rachael Grace Dowhy; son Robert Lyle Dowhy; grandmother Alice Lindal; mother Loretta Clarke; sisters, Sandra Watson (Dennis), Lorraine Kaus (Tyson), and Catherine Plett (Richie); stepmother Eileen Clarke; stepsister Alysha Buck (Andrew); stepbrother Andrew Clarke; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Terri was predeceased by her father Robert Lyle Clarke.
Terri spent her youth in Lynn Lake, Manitoba and enjoyed all the activities it had to offer. She also participated in many activities through school and church; there was nothing Terri would not try. Terri graduated high school at Balmoral Hall School in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
After graduation Terri continued her love of life, never afraid to try new things. She enjoyed her careers, managing women's clothing stores, flight attending and more recently working in private school administration.
In 2000 Terri's husband, William's career as a pilot moved them and their two children to Bahrain. Terri came home to Canada every summer with Rachael and Rob to spend time with family and friends. When in Canada, Terri made sure to shop, visit family and spend time at the lake. One of Terri's greatest joys were her children, she was always eager to share stories of their accomplishments, or even something as simple as their dinners together. Terri will be remembered by all who knew her for her infectious smile and her kind and fun loving spirit.
Funeral services for Terri will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.

It warms my heart to read the lovely comments left by Terri's friends. Thank you to all who took the time to write. It means a lot to me and to my family. We miss her dearly. - Posted by: Sandra Watson (nee: Clarke) (sister) on: Oct 28, 2019
My deepest condolences to the family. I am so sorry for this great loss. Terri was my roommate when I first came to Balmoral Hall so many years ago. Her kindness and sweet nature made being away from home so much easier. We had lots of fun and lots of laughs! Although through time and distance we lost touch, it seems that she continued to touch so many with her kindness and sweetness. She did have a great smile and that is how I remember her. Once again, my deepest sympathy to her family. May all of these memories of her be a comfort to you at this time. - Posted by: Susan (Dressler) Young (Roommate and Classmate BH '85) on: Sep 23, 2019
What a terribly sad loss. When I think of Terri… I think of her smile. She was always smiling. Her snapshot in time for me will always be one of a positive, happy influence on her peers and on her teachers. She was a kind and loving soul… I never saw her mad. I am convinced that much of our character is imbued by the influence of those who surround us… so it goes without question, I am grateful for having known Terri. - Posted by: Ashleigh Banfield (Classmate ‘85) on: Sep 23, 2019
I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Maria Lutz (High school classmate ) on: Sep 23, 2019
This is truly heartbreaking. I am so sorry. I have such happy memories of spending time with Terri at BH and enjoyed seeing her social media posts and photos of Rachel and Rob. I loved seeing her mom's comments too - no matter how far away Terri was geographically, Mrs Clarke always "seemed" nearby. I haven't seen Terri since we graduated but Terri is one of only a few BHers I still feel connected to. What a great person and incredible loss. - Posted by: Jennifer (Thamer) Meister (Friend from BH) on: Sep 23, 2019
