MICHELE ELLISON
February 1, 1967 - September 8, 2019

Michele Leek Ellison passed away suddenly in the early morning of September 8, 2019.
Michele loved life, and loved giving back to everyone she encountered, whether it was buying supper for her children or hiring someone down on their luck to do odd jobs. She enjoyed crafting, and enjoyed trying new crafts out, including diamond painting, latch hooking and sewing, although her favourite pastime was crocheting. She made blankets for her friends and coworkers to celebrate life events including new babies and retirements.
One of the fondest memories that she leaves her children is driving the school bus that took them to preschool every day. She had magnets on the ceiling to keep their eyes busy and would play music from the lion king every morning on her route. They would always arrive at preschool singing 'the circle of life'.
She was loved by a large, extended family and will be missed by all of them. She joins her parents, Carol and Ray, and her husband Rick, in the afterlife.
Services will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, her children ask that donations be made to the Polar Bear Rescue Team at the Assiniboine Park Zoo.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Michele was a kind and caring lady. Although a little shy at first when we ended up sitting next to each other at work several years ago, we quickly opened up to each other and found we had many things in common. I have a beautiful crocheted blanket she made for me, as well as slippers and a colourful shawl. Michele took her job very seriously, and was professional and understanding with each call. Occasionally she would have a more difficult call where customers were seriously injured, and needed to take a minute or two afterwards to dry tears of compassion that she managed to hide from the customer. I will miss her warm greeting each morning, her contagious laugh, and her friendship. May she RIP with her beloved Ricky. - Posted by: Ilona McEachern (Friend and coworker ) on: Sep 27, 2019
