  • Our deepest Sympathies Carmen. - Posted by: Martha Trudeau (Worked with Carmen. ) on: Nov 08, 2019

  • I worked with Caroline in 2 different work locations. As well as being colleagues, we also went for walks to talk about work-related issues she was encountering, and shared bits and pieces of our personal lives with each other. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Caroline for a long time, but in the time I did have in getting to know her, it was clear that even when faced with difficult situations, she was an optimistic, determined and outgoing woman who used humour as a way to deal with tough things life threw at her. Hearing this news comes as a huge shock and reminds me that life is short, and that we all should try to be as optimistic and live life to the fullest, as Caroline did. I will miss hearing her giggle as she shared stories and jokes with me and wherever she may be now, I hope she is still wearing that smile of hers. - Posted by: Amber (friend and co-worker) on: Sep 24, 2019

  • I used to work in a cubicle very close to Caroline’s at 200 Saulteaux Crescent. She always wore a warm smile, always said hi when she heard my footsteps, and always seemed to know just the right moment to magically appear for a chat. Caroline never missed a beat and never missed a chance to be generous, whether it was getting a pdf copy of an article for someone from library services or offering me peanuts or other snacks. I certainly missed her humour and especially her laugh when she left Saulteaux for her new position. She brightened many a dull day in that converted warehouse of an office space and is sorely missed! - Posted by: Christian Artuso (Colleague) on: Sep 22, 2019

  • I had the good fortune of working with Caroline in the Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch. Her passion for wildlife and nature, her infectious laughter and her good spirits were inspirational. She worked diligently on many wildlife health, conservation and other important issues and was well respected by all her co-workers. I was so sad to learn of her passing and my thoughts and condolences to all her family and relations. She made the world a better place. Rest In Peace my friend. I'll keep thinking of you every time I paddle a canoe or listen to Paul Simon. Je t'aime Caro xo - Posted by: Kristen Malbranck (Friend) on: Sep 21, 2019
