ALBERT J. FRASER

Peacefully, at Riverview Health Centre on Friday, September 13, 2019, Albert J. Fraser of Winnipeg passed away, at the age of 82 years.
Albert was the middle of 13 children but did not limit family to a last name. His loss will be felt by anyone whose heart he touched. His love will carry on with his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years, Joanna; his three children: Paulette (Dave Smith), Paul (Julia Baster), and Jacqueline (David Case); his four grandchildren: Anika Fraser, Serena Fraser, Andrea Case (Aaron Beckle), and Leah Case (Jonathan Polson); his sisters; brothers; and in-laws; numerous nieces; nephews; grand-nieces; grand-nephews; great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews; and many friends.
A man of few words, he spoke a simple truth,

"Find good in all that you do and what
comes your way. Be good and true
to each other always."

We will continue to live by these words.
A celebration of his life and Catholic Mass will be held at the St. Norbert Church, 80 Rue St. Pierre Street, Winnipeg, MB at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.

  • My father (Albert Roy ) spoke very highly and warmly of his good friend Albert... eventually, I had the opportunity on several occasions to work for and with Albert and quickly understood what my father meant...Albert always greeted me warmly, with a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes: he spoke honestly about himself, his life, his dreams, his experiences, a great storyteller with a genuine interest in other people's lives and problems. He was always ready to lend a hand, generous with his time, money and wisdom. Albert will be sadly missed, but his life never forgotten. My deepest condolences to Joanna and family ..... - Posted by: Charles Roy (friend) on: Sep 25, 2019

  • My sympathies to Joanna, and you his special three children . I've known Albert since the late 1950 when he was a caregiver, boys keeper, and a true friend to the bunch of us in residence. I remember all of you as a young family who would come visit us on the farm. Albert always had a special greeting when we crossed path so very often at Food land. We had such laughing sessions! You are in my prays. Your Dad will always be with you. My husband has to have greeted him upon his arrival . Thank you Jesus, Mary and Joseph for bringing your Dad to our Heavenly Father, Then being reunited with his family and friends . Will see you next Friday. - Posted by: Therese Baudry (Lifetime friend ) on: Sep 21, 2019

  • I remember Albert as a hockey coach at Juniorat (private high school) in the 60s, as a customer of our weekly farm-fresh egg delivery on Saturdays, as a generous, energetic smiling person, always ready to lend a hand. Sincere condolences Joanna and family. We pray that God grant you peace and comfort in these difficult days. - Posted by: GILLES L CHAPUT (Friend) on: Sep 21, 2019
