I was saddened when I heard in chapel this morning of Roxie’s passing, Such a loss of a vibrant, friendly always cheerful person. She truly lived life to the fullest and found good in every situation even though in her own life she endured many difficult times and tragedy’s. She touched so many people’s lives and will be missed by them all. My condolences to Her son Brian. Rest In Peace my friend.💞 - Posted by: Margaret Hamilton (Trim fit buddy) on: Oct 06, 2019

Brian, was so sorry to her about your mom. She was quite the lady, full of laughter, spunk, and always a good sport. We were fortunate to know her and share in a few Christmas Eve get-togethers with her. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Love and blessings sent your way Anita, Sean and Leah - Posted by: Anita Posaluko (Friend) on: Oct 01, 2019

Roxie was in our exercise class at the Civic Center for years, always a very friendly and happy person. Also Roxie volunteered at Grace Hospital - her day was Thursday and other days, she got me to volunteer also. Used to see her walking the dog down the sidewalk close to her home. Rest in Peace dear Roxie - Posted by: Marian White (Friend) on: Sep 30, 2019

Dear Brian Smith, I am deeply saddened to learn of your mother's passing. I met Roxie years ago as a canvasser for the Cancer Society's annual community canvass. As a long time volunteer in the cancer fight I learned that Roxie also volunteered in palliative care so 'no one died alone'! I remember then that tears welled in my eyes - I told Roxie then that when I grow up I want to be just like her. Roxie was an inspiration for her commitment to community service. We were neighbours of your mom’s at Breezy Shores since 1988. Her birthday was the day after our sons and we always celebrated both birthdays together. I feel so badly we lost touch with her the last couple of years. We had great winter telephone conversations and great lake chats! She loved going out on our boat. Such a wonderful lady who taught all of us how to live each day fully and count our blessings. She is missed. Heartfelt sympathy to you, Brian. If you need anything don’t hesitate to contact us.
