ROBERT (BOB) THIESSEN
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Louise; son Bradley (Alison); daughter Laurel; sister Linda (Randy); brothers-in-law, Ken (Joan) and Kevin (Kathy); sister-in-law Bernadette (Bob), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Louise; brother Gordon; and stepmother Shirley.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Cross Cancer Institute for the care and compassion shown to Bob during his time with them.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Saturday, October 5 at 12:30 p.m. at Glendale Golf and Country Club, 400 Augier Avenue. Lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Myeloma Alberta Support Society (multiplemyeloma.ca). Donations are used to fund local research at the Cross Cancer Institute into multiple myeloma.
