I only met Helen in her later years in Charleswood. She was lovely, kind, well-spoken. She always had a smile for me and would always take time to chat, ask me about my day and offer some kind words. I will miss her deeply. - Posted by: Verna Eyers (Acquaintance) on: Oct 17, 2019

Helen was a friendly neighbour. We enjoyed each other's flowers and lots of chats. We were sorry when they moved. Sad they are both gone. Condolences. - Posted by: Heidi & Stephen Iwaniuk (neighbours) on: Oct 08, 2019

I’ve known Helen and Al for over 34 years as neighbors on Acorn Place. They were both untiring workers on the grounds of Charleswood United. Helen and my Hal were both in Charleswood Personal Care and I would visit her every time I visited Hal (who passed away July 11th). In reading her obituary, I realized she and Hal were slightly over a week apart in age. She was a wonderful lady. She is now with her beloved Al. Rest In Peace dear Helen. - Posted by: Coralie Bornais (Ex-neighbor on Acorn and friend.) on: Sep 30, 2019

As Minister of Charleswood United Church from 1989 to 1998 (and Al’s golfing partner for years after that), I have to say that Helen and Al were two of the most supportive people in the congregation. They kept the grounds of the church immaculate and beautiful. I was so sorry when, after I left, I heard that Helen had to quit the choir. She had been a most faithful member. God bless her; she was a dear person. - Posted by: Bob Galston (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2019
