JOHN CALVERLEY
1943 - 2019

John Calverley passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 after his battle with cancer.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Dianne (nee Mostowy); children: John (Katie), Laurie Ann and Matthew (Chelsea); grandchildren: Nathan, Andrew and Olive; sisters: Janice Wood and Fern Crane; many nieces and nephews; in-laws: Edwin Mostowy, Linda Mostowy, Janis Hall, Donna Mostowy and Denice Williams.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fernie and Ingibjorg Calverley.
John grew up in Bissett, Manitoba where he worked underground, as well as prospected with his father for many years. He moved to Alberta where he worked for many years as a process operator with Syncrude. After retiring he was a self-employed contractor in the oil field for many companies.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Alliance Church, 10017-99 Street, Morinville, Alberta with Pastor Lewis Hauer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 9Z9.
