I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Barb. We went to school together since kindergarten at Lord Roberts and through Churchill High. Barb was a good person through and through, caring for others sometimes more than herself. I am. grateful memories never leave us and, as long as we keep those alive she will never leave us. My thoughts and prayers go out for Ozzie, Sylvana and the family for the strength to get through this difficult time. - Posted by: Patrick Devlin (Friend) on: Oct 08, 2019

Barb was a major part of growing up for me on Arnold from the day I moved across from her. I went to Barb for everything. She taught me and showed me many things like a big sister even though she was only a year older than myself. Barb always seemed older and much wiser for her age. Auntie Inga, Ozzie, Sylvana and Barb I felt we’re like family growing up on Arnold. We lost touch in high school but I think of Barb and the Filippin’s often when Reminiscing about my younger years. Barb and I spent many nights going to small lounges to watch her favorite bands play back in the good ol 80's.. many many laughs together. Barb you were the best ever at laughing and talking at the same time, haha. Save me a seat Barbie, I'll see you again sometime. Hugs to you Sylvana and Ozzie. She was a great friend. - Posted by: Grant Churchill (friend) on: Oct 08, 2019

We lived right across the street from Barb, she was one of my sister’s best friends. I will never forget Barb she was a wonderful, sweet person with a ready laugh who I always looked up to. The entire Filipin family, Auntie Inga, Ozzie, Sylvana, and Barb, helped to make Arnold Avenue a home for me. You are missed - Posted by: Cory Johnson (Childhood Friend) on: Oct 08, 2019

I remember playing "Secretary", for hours and hours, in the kitchen at Barb's childhood home. We always had fun together. A big hug to Ozzie and Sylvana. - Posted by: Tana Martin (Childhood friend) on: Oct 07, 2019
