I knew Izzy from Kelvin. I graduated grade 12 in 1949. I lived on Oxford and delivered the Free Press on Oxford and Wellington Crescent during those years. Our papers were dropped off on the corner of Cambridge and Academy Road where Izzy and his parents lived. One day in winter it was so cold that Izzy's mother felt so sorry for us trying to fold the papers with our gloves off that she came out and told us to come into their veranda to fold the papers. We did that every winter thereafter. How one small kindness is remembered so long ! Based on what I know of Izzys accomplishments and contributions, he learned a lot from his mother. - Posted by: Trevor Davey (High School friend) on: Oct 07, 2019
