Date of Passing: Oct 05, 2019Offer Condolences or Memory
DAVID OLE KYDD
1940 - 2019
He left behind his devoted wife, Marilyn Davis; her son Lee (Christine); their children, Hayden and Brooklyn; his daughters, Roxanne (Floyd) and Gwendolyn; her children, Jennifer (Evan) and Kevin (Shelby), their children, Marlee and Kaleb; his brother Ron (Roseanne); a niece and three nephews; and loving cousin Joanne (Patrick).
Born in Saskatchewan, Dave moved with his family to Winnipeg, where he grew up. He married his first love, Ann, in 1960 and enjoyed life with her until she was claimed by cancer. Later, marriage to Marilyn brightened his life again.
Dave was a deeply committed Christian and a respected friend. As a youth, his interest ran to speed skating and archery but they were soon taken over by mechanics. He became highly skilled in the trades eventually holding licenses in three. During his career, Dave was employed by private companies, a local council in Arviate near Hudson Bay, and at Pembina Trails School Division in Winnipeg. At home, in churches, and on the job Dave took pleasure in solving problems which defied solution.
Dave will be deeply missed. Comfort may be found in the memories he left.
Marilyn and the family are very grateful for the wonderful loving care Dave received from the staff of 1 East at Oakview Place.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Anglican Church, Charleswood, at 3830 Roblin Blvd. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Dave's family would like donations to be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or St. Mary Anglican Church (Memorial Fund).

Oh Roxanne and Wendy, I wish I had known. I have been thinking so much of your dad and mom lately. Your dad was the dad I always wanted. My whole life did a 360 turn with their love and guidance and introducing me to Jesus. I miss them so much. I’m so glad our hope is in Jesus and we will see them again. Hugs to you both. - Posted by: DARLENE WIEBE (Neighbor) on: Apr 12, 2020
