Paul grew up on the family farm near Ste-Anne. Before marrying Monique on October 24, 1959, he worked in the logging industry Northwestern Ontario. After marriage, he divided his time between working construction in Winnipeg and logging until 1968, when Paul and Monique bought the family farm. He farmed until 1973 and then returned to work as a contractor, moving the family of four children to the town of Ste-Anne. He also spent 10 years working at the Villa Youville in the Maintenance Department. Following his retirement from the Villa he returned to construction, working with his son Denis.
Paul enjoyed classic country music, time at the cottage, and his gardens. He loved to watch his Blue Jays, enjoyed going on cruises with Monique, and loved large family gatherings and celebrations.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, with eulogy at 1:15 p.m. and service at 1:30 p.m., at Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Parish Church, 162 Central Avenue, Ste-Anne, Manitoba, with interment to follow at Ste-Anne Cemetery.

  • I didn't have the privilege of having met this gentleman, but it seems clear to me that the contributions made to Canada by himself, his spouse, and his family (some of whom I have been honoured to meet) have been significant. The world has been a better place because of them. RIP - Posted by: Bill Stevens (Friend of family) on: Oct 10, 2019
