As this Autumn whispers to the wind
And heartbroken trees shed their leaves
In a tear-stained goodbye
We are reminded that one year has passed...
We have come full circle,
All the first holidays, birthdays, family gatherings without you both.
We often lay awake at night
When the world is fast asleep
And take a walk down memory lane
With tears upon our cheeks.
Remembering you both is easy,
We do it every day
But missing you is a heartache
That never goes away
We hold you tightly within our hearts
And there you both will remain.
Life has gone on without you both,
But will never be the same.
May the winds of Heaven blow softly
And whisper in your ears
How much we love and miss you both
And wish that you were here.
