It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eleanor Myrtle Bohonos, who fought a long and strong battle with cancer.
Ellie will always be in loving memory by her late husband, Larry; three sons, Todd (Tammy), Glenn (Jody), Lonny (Lisa); five grandchildren, Keith (Pamela), Brenna, Brody, Callie, Baylee; her brother Edwin (Francine); and nephews, Adam and Nathaniel.
Ellie was predeceased by her mother Adina; father Sam Daudrich; her lifelong friends; which were many. But her closest friends were Marg Avery and Eileen Clow, whom she spent many special times together with.
Ellie spent many weekends at the family cottage in Pinawa Bay gardening, crafting, pickling, making perogies and even had time to toss a rod off the boat. No one could fillet a pickerel better than she could! Her apple, blueberry and lemon meringue pies were to die for.
She accepted everyone for who they were, and would always be there for them no matter what. Her love for her family took her to many rinks to watch her three sons light up the lamp. The many life lessons she taught will never be forgotten.
May you look down upon us and continue to be proud of everything you did to make the world a much better place to be in.
As per Ellie's wishes, a private family service will be held.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I remember Mrs. Bohonos as the friendliest, most positive mom on my hockey team growing up. I seen her about 2 years ago at the MTS ice plex, and she hadn't changed a bit. In the last 15 years or so I've seen many people I knew 30 years ago, and I never really had the guts to go up to and talk to. And they probably didn't recognize me; so I would just walk by them, and not say anything. But with Mrs. Bohonos I had the guts and she was exactly the way I remember; The Nicest Person. Sincere condolences to Lonny, Todd, and Glen and grandkids. - Posted by: chad (acquitance/friend) on: Apr 20, 2020

  • So sorry to hear of Ellie's passing, a truly kind, generous lady. I remember the times we made yeast donuts together on Kilbride for the kids school lunches and the times at the cottage. Not long ago we had a 3-4 hour lunch remembering the good old days and the fun we had. My condolences to Todd, Lonnie and Glen. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: lorna krystik (friend) on: Nov 01, 2019

  • We just found out about her passing. Our prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Allan & Marguerite Stuart (Mutual grandparents of Keith) on: Oct 24, 2019

  • Eleanor was a kind and thoughtful cousin. The years have gone by and I remember the occasional visits with her dad Sam Daudrich to our parents, John and Lilly Daudrich's home. Always a joy to be around. She was such a beautiful radiant woman. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her sons and their families. May God comfort you at this time of need. - Posted by: Erna Wiens (Cousin) on: Oct 13, 2019

  • We were shocked and saddened to read of Eleanor's death. She was a beautiful woman and a kind and hard-working wife and mother. My mother, Doris Daudrich, had the greatest admiration for her. Our sympathies go out to all the family, and especially to her brother, Edwin. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Barbara Black Peden (step-sister) on: Oct 12, 2019
