RANDY LOEB
(RANDOLPH RICHARD LOEB)

On Saturday, September 28, 2019 Randy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, with his immediate family at his side.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Helen, his daughter Melanie (Travis), and his son Justin.
Randy was predeceased by his father Richard Loeb in 1988. He is survived by his mother Elsie, brothers, Clyde (Chris) and Greg, sisters, Cheryl (Merv) and Marilyn (Rob), nephews, Cameron (MarryAnn) and Jordan (Matt), and many extended family members.
Randy was born in Beausejour on February 7, 1953 the eldest of five children. He grew up on the family farm in Lydiatt. Farming wasn't his life's passion, so he chose to study at the University of Manitoba and pursued a career in Education. A dedicated teacher, he touched the lives of many students and colleagues throughout his career.
He met his wife Helen while they were both teaching at Bernie Wolfe School. They married in 1983 and built their "forever" home in East St. Paul where they raised their children and established deep community roots.
Randy's yard and flower gardens were a source of great pleasure for him. He was well known for his "green thumb" and with years of practice, perfected his landscaping skills.
He was an active member at Abundant Life Lutheran Church and volunteered for many positions and projects. Participating in the church choir brought him great joy. His faith life and the relationships he had with his "church family" were very important to him.
A man of many interests, he enjoyed travelling, discussing politics, regularly attending live theatre, and researching family history.
Randy was a gentleman with a stubborn spirit. Honest, kind, polite, and generous, while always making his opinion known. Connecting with family and keeping them close was always a priority, and he enjoyed hosting and attending family gatherings.
He was an amazing dad and his children are grateful to have had his constant support in anything they set their minds to.
His family will cherish their memories of him forever.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Lutheran Church, 3486 Raleigh Street, East St. Paul, north of Hoddinott. Reception to follow at East St. Paul Banquet Hall, 264 Hoddinott Road.
Randy was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple System Atrophy Coalition, or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
